Barry the Bear Sleeps Too Long

Large text for little eyes.

Barry the bear loved two things more than anything: honey and naps. When winter arrived, he yawned, stretched, and waddled into his cozy cave.

“Goodnight, world,” Barry mumbled, snuggling under a pile of leaves. “Wake me when it’s spring.”

But Barry didn’t just nap for winter… he napped a little too long.

A Very Strange Spring

When Barry finally opened one eye, he noticed something odd. The forest was filled with… balloons? Squirrels wearing party hats zoomed past him on scooters.

Barry scratched his head. “Did I wake up in the wrong forest?”

He lumbered out of his cave and found rabbits skating in circles, balancing teacups on their heads. Birds chirped silly songs that sounded suspiciously like “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star… backwards.”

Barry blinked. “I only closed my eyes for a nap!”

Pizza Picnics and Dancing Deer

Following the smell of food, Barry found a meadow. Instead of berries or honey, the animals were eating… pizza!

A hedgehog offered him a slice. “Extra cheese?”

Barry gobbled it up in one bite. “Best berry pie I’ve ever had!” he said, wiping tomato sauce from his nose.

Then, the deer started dancing in a line, tapping their hooves like tap dancers. “What happened while I was asleep?” Barry groaned. “The forest turned into a circus!”

Back to Bed (Maybe Just a Short Nap)

After a long day of surprises, Barry plopped down on a log. His belly was full of pizza, his paws ached from clapping along with the dancing deer, and his head spun from all the silliness.

“Well,” Barry yawned, “maybe I should take just a short nap.”

All the animals gasped. “No more long naps, Barry! Who knows what the forest will look like when you wake up again!”

Barry chuckled, curled into a ball, and said, “Fine, fine. Just five minutes.”

Of course, everyone knew with Barry, five minutes could turn into another year.

The End !
