Luna the Service Bunny – A Gentle Hero Who Helps Kids Feel Brave
Luna isn’t just a bunny, she’s a special therapy rabbit who helps kids feel calm and brave. With her soft fur and gentle nature, Luna is more than a pet, she’s a little hero with a big heart. One day, she helped a boy with anxiety save a classmate during a scary moment at school.
A Bunny with a Special Job
Luna lives with 9-year old Alex, who sometimes feels very worried. Big crowds, loud noises, or speaking in class can make his heart race. That’s called anxiety.
But when Luna is with him, everything feels better. She sits on his lap, snuggles close, and helps him breathe slowly and feel calm. Luna is a service bunny, trained to support people just like Alex.
Alex brings Luna to school every day. Most of his classmates think she’s just cute, but Luna has a very important job.
Trouble at Recess
One sunny day during recess, Alex was playing quietly with Luna when he saw his classmate Mia sitting under the slide. She looked scared. Her face was red, and she was breathing fast. She couldn’t speak. Alex knew this feeling, it was a panic attack, just like he used to have.
He wanted to help, but he felt nervous too. Then Luna nudged his hand with her nose, as if to say, “Let’s help her together.”
Helping with a Gentle Touch
Alex took a deep breath, picked up Luna, and walked over to Mia. “This is Luna,” he said softly. “She helps me feel better when I’m scared.”
Mia didn’t answer at first, but when Alex offered Luna to her, she slowly reached out and touched the bunny’s fur. Luna stayed calm and still, just like she was trained to do. Soon, Mia’s breathing slowed. Her face relaxed. A teacher noticed and came over to help.
Thanks to Luna, and Alex, Mia was going to be okay.

That day, everyone learned that heroes don’t always wear capes. Sometimes they have soft ears and a twitchy nose. Luna helped Alex feel brave, and together, they helped someone else. It was a moment no one at school would forget.
Now, Luna is known not just as a cute classroom bunny, but as a real everyday hero.
